Learn to understand behavior, design effective interventions and help individuals with diverse behavioral needs make meaningful progress with UCF’s online Master of Education in Exceptional Student Education – Applied Behavior Analysis Track.

This 30-credit program is built for professionals already certified in the teaching field who want to deepen their expertise in applied behavior analysis and take on greater responsibility in their work. It is a strong fit for special education teachers, ESE paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists and professionals working in ABA clinics.

Your coursework focuses on the skills you’ll use in practice, including functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention planning, single-case research, data analysis, verbal behavior, communication training and supervision. You’ll also examine the ethical and legal standards that shape professional ABA practice.

Several courses include field-based experiences, giving you opportunities to apply ABA concepts with students or clients in your current school, or workplace.

BACB Certification Details

If you plan to pursue Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, the program provides graduate coursework aligned with academic requirements identified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
